		<description>Very good point Honey Monster - if you have a router, it is a much better option for joinery!  I ended up buying a used one that has been very useful.  When I started out though, I could only shell out the cash for one tool at a time, and the jig saw was where I ended up.  Thank you for your comments!!</description>

		<description>This is a good article, but you have to be careful that you use the correct type of saw blade if you need an accurate cut.  Once you become more accomplished or committed to crafting wood for furniture then a &lt;a HREF="http://www.thebigtoolshop.co.uk/default.asp?Category=40" rel="nofollow"&gt;router&lt;/A&gt; with the correct jigs will give you a more reliable straight line or curved cut.  In skilled hands, the join between two pieces of wood cut with a router is barely visible.</description>
